Halloween Couple Costume Generator

Edit one two-person photo into a coordinated Halloween costume portrait. See pose, identity and couple prompts, credit costs and checks before generating.
Cinematic 3D render of a couple in coordinated cowboy and angel Halloween costumes on a foggy porch

Two people, one image, two identities to preserve

A couple costume portrait is harder than a single portrait because the model has to preserve two faces at once. It also has to keep the relationship between the bodies: who is standing where, whose arm is around whom, and which costume belongs to which person.

The workflow is still the Image to Image tab. Upload one photo where both people are visible, then describe the two costumes and their positions. Nano Banana Edit processes the image through the hosted KIE provider and returns one generated portrait.

The best source photo is not necessarily the most romantic one. It is the one where both faces are clear, the light is even and the bodies do not overlap so much that the model has to guess where one person ends and the other begins.

Pick a photo that separates the two people

  • Both faces visible. No one turned away, no one in deep shadow, no sunglasses.
  • Enough space between heads. Overlapping faces make identity swaps more likely.
  • A stable pose. Hugging and holding hands are fine; running, dancing and lifting are not.
  • Similar lighting on both faces. A window on one side and a lamp on the other splits the image.
  • Full or three-quarter body if the costumes matter. A headshot gives the model very little to dress.

If you only have separate photos, generate two individual portraits with coordinated prompts and combine them later. Do not ask one run to invent a second person from a single-person photo; that is where extra people and changed identities come from.

A tested couple prompt: cowboy and angel

This recipe gives each person a distinct costume and a clear position. It also tells the model to keep exactly two people.

Prompt recipe

Cowboy and angel couple portrait

Two coordinated costumes, two preserved faces, one foggy porch scene.

Use the uploaded photo as the primary reference. The photo contains exactly two people. Preserve both people's recognizable facial identities, facial proportions, skin tones, ages, body proportions and pose. Dress the person on the left in an original western cowboy costume: a dark hat, a suede vest, a plain shirt and a weathered leather belt. Dress the person on the right in an original angel costume: a soft ivory layered outfit, feathered shoulder details and a simple halo accessory. Place the couple on a foggy wooden porch at dusk with warm lantern light, carved pumpkins and dark autumn branches. Use photorealistic editorial photography, realistic fabric texture, natural skin detail and cinematic soft lighting. Keep exactly two people and do not swap their faces. Avoid extra people, extra limbs, duplicated hands, distorted anatomy, text, logos and watermarks.
Generate with this prompt

A tested couple prompt: cosmic hero duo

If you want a more graphic look, a matching color palette does more work than a detailed costume description. This recipe uses deep blue, silver and a single glowing accent.

Prompt recipe

Cosmic hero duo

A coordinated sci-fi look with one shared palette and two distinct silhouettes.

Use the uploaded two-person photo as the reference. Preserve both people's faces, skin tones, ages, body proportions and original pose. Create an original cosmic hero couple costume portrait. The person on the left wears a fitted midnight-blue suit with silver piping, a soft glowing chest emblem and a short structured jacket. The person on the right wears a flowing deep-violet cape over a silver-and-blue suit with subtle star patterns. Keep the two costumes clearly different but in one palette. Place the couple in a dark observatory with a star field, soft blue rim light and a faint floor mist. Photorealistic cinematic photography, realistic fabric and metal details. Keep exactly two people and do not swap their faces. Avoid extra people, extra limbs, duplicated hands, distorted anatomy, text, logos and watermarks.
Generate with this prompt

The prompt is pre-filled in the generator. Review it and the credit cost before you start.

Step by step

  1. Open the generator in Image to Image mode.
  2. Upload one photo with both people clearly visible.
  3. Describe each person by position: left, right, foreground, background.
  4. Give each person a distinct costume silhouette and color.
  5. State "exactly two people" and "do not swap their faces."
  6. Check the 80-credit cost, then submit and wait for the tracked task.
  7. Inspect both faces, both sets of hands and the space between the bodies.

What usually goes wrong

Face swap. The model gives person A's face to person B. Fix it by describing positions and costume differences more clearly, and by choosing a source photo with more separation.

A third person appears. This happens when the prompt mentions "a group" or when the background contains another figure. Say "exactly two people" and use a clean background.

One costume absorbs the other. If both costumes are the same color, the model may merge them. Give each person a different silhouette, not just a different shade.

Hands merge. Holding hands is a hard pose. If the hands are not important, crop them out or ask for a pose where the hands are separate.

One face is softer than the other. The person closer to the camera or better lit usually gets more detail. Compare both faces at 100% zoom.

Credits and output

One couple portrait costs 80 credits. The generator shows the cost before submission, and a failed tracked task returns its reserved credits. See pricing for current packs.

The output is one generated image. It is not a matched pair of physical costumes. If you want a prop or a figure, generate each person or each prop separately so the 3D model has a single clear subject.

Use a photo where both faces are clear

The best couple prompt cannot fix a photo where one face is turned away. Start with a clean two-person photo, describe each position, and check both faces before you publish.

Frequently asked questions

Can I upload two separate photos?
The current image workflow accepts one source image per run. If both people are already in the same photo and both faces are visible, you can ask for a coordinated costume edit. For separate photos, edit each portrait individually and combine them in a design tool.
How do I keep both faces recognizable?
Start with a photo where both faces are sharp, evenly lit and not overlapping. In the prompt, name both people by position, state that there are exactly two people, and explicitly preserve both identities. Check the result at full size before using it.
What if the model swaps the faces?
Face swapping is a common failure when the two people are similar in size, wear similar clothes or stand close together. Describe each person's position and costume separately, and avoid symmetric poses that make the two bodies easy to mix up.
Can we generate a couple costume for a same-sex couple?
Yes. Describe both people and their positions without relying on gendered assumptions. The model follows the visual description, not a relationship label.
How much does a couple costume image cost?
The hosted image workflow costs 80 credits per run. The generator shows the cost before you submit, and a failed tracked task returns its reserved credits. See the pricing page for current packs.
